These are plans which give detailed procedures and explanations of how a range of organisations will respond to a particular type of consequence suffered due to an emergency, for example, evacuation of large numbers of residents, or the influx of large numbers of the international media

• Darlington Borough Temporary Mortuary Plan
• County Durham Temporary Mortuary Plan
• County Durham and Easington Joint Coastal Oil Pollution Plan
• County Durham and Darlington Emergency Flood Response Plan
• County Durham Pandemic Influenza Plan
• Darlington Pandemic Influenza Plan

Although the above Emergency Plans are available in draft/final form, County Durham and Darlington Local Resilience Forum are continually looking at developing emergency plans, in line with the Community Risk Register for new subjects, such as:

• Mass Fatalities
• Wide-Area Evacuation
• Humanitarian Assistance Centres
• Severe Weather

The CCU also works in close contact with partner organisations in the production of regional and local plans in specialist fields, such as:

• Avian Influenza
• Foot and Mouth
• CBRN
